Cara Cara Whiskey Sour

makes two cocktails

  • 4 ounces rye whiskey

  • 2 ounces orange juice

  • 1 ½ ounces Honey Orange Simple syrup

  • 2 tablespoons marmalade

  • Orange peel for garnish

In a cocktail shaker or large jar, combine all ingredients and shake to combine.

Strain into a chilled rocks glass - additional ice optional.

Twist peel over glass to express oils and enjoy!

Honey-Orange Simple syrup

makes 1 1/2 cups

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • Peel of 1 orange - removed with veggie peeler

  • 2 tablespoons honey

Cook over low heat in a small pot, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.  Allow to cool; remove orange peel and store in a jar, in the refrigerator for up to a month.
